Episode one of the highly anticipated Batman – The Telltale Series is set to release on August 2nd, and to celebrate Telltale has given us a new trailer to get the first look at what we can really expect from the game.
So what do we know from the trailer? First of all, the game will have a heavy focus on Bruce Wayne rather than his crime fighting alter-ego, Harvey Dent also makes an appearance pre-Two Face, which suggests we could be seeing the story coming to focus on Dent’s transformation later in the game. It also appears that Falcone, the vicious mob-boss from early Batman story-lines will also have a big factor in the story and that Catwoman will also make an appearance. The game will also continue Arkham Knight M Rating with evidence of a vicious looking headshot and a very bloody crime scene.
As when talking about most Telltale Games projects, the cast of the new series is quite impressive, with Troy Baker (Tales from the Borderlands, Bioshock Infinite) in the role of Bruce Wayne, Travis Willingham (Camp Camp, Thor in animated Avengers) as Harvey Dent, Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us) as Vicki Vale, Enn Reitel (Adventures of Tintin) as Alfred Pennyworth, Murphy Guyer as Lieutenant James Gordon, Richard McGonagle (Uncharted series) as Carmine Falcone, and Laura Bailey (RWBY, Persona 4) as Selina Kyle.
While the first episode, titled “Realm of Shadows” will be out August 2nd, you won’t have to wait until the full game is available on your preferred console to get the physical copy. Similar to how Minecraft: Story Mode made the season pass available with the purchase of the disk based version, Batman: The Telltale series will include the season pass as part of the disk version.
