Team Ninja’s Ni-Oh finally set for a 2016 release

Originally supposed to launch on the PS3, Koei Tecmo took the stage at Sony’s Pre-TGS show to announce Ni-Oh, a fast pace hack’n’slash inspired by acclaimed Japanese film director Akira Kurosawa.

The game features a blonde-haired Samurai who battles demons using his sword and magic. From the quick glimpse of gameplay for the title given at the show, it was easy to tell that the game was a Team Ninja style, at it appeared to control very similar to the team’s previous title, Ninja Gaiden.

The game is set to launch in Japan sometime next year.
