The latest video game adaptation of the popular Manga and Anime series Sword Art Online will be coming to PS3 and PSVita some time in 2015 under the title, Sword Art Online: Lost Song.
For those unfamiliar with the series, Sword Art Online centers on a virtual reality MMOs, which depending on which arc your following, either have players dying or being eternally trapped in the game. Lost Song will take place in the second game of the first season, “ALfheim Online,” and will be a faux-MMO which will strictly be a single-player experience similar to the .Hack series.
At this point an time there is no news on if Sword Art Online: Lost Song will be a Japan exclusive or if the series will cross over to Europe and North America. Given the popularity of the Anime and the PSVita game Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment, it does seem likely that we’ll hear more about the game very soon.
