That’s right, according to tonight’s Nintendo Direct which listed 50 facts about the upcoming fighter, Super Smash Bros Wii U will feature 8 player matches along with other big changes, including the re-introduction of Mewtwo to the roster as DLC, Ridley as a stage event, A Mario Party style board game mode and more.
The 8 Player Brawls does have it’s restrictions however, the melees are only available when playing offline and not all stages are eligible for that many fighters, instead several stages have been set to an extra large scale, however as you can see in the Direct (shown above) battles still get quite crazy.
