Capcom has announced that the long awaited story mode, titled “A Shadow Falls”, for Street Fighter V will be coming for free tomorrow. The major update will also add 2 new Post-Launch fighters with the likes of the ninja Ibuki and disgraced boxer Balrog.
A Shadow Falls will be set somewhere between the events of Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter III, as the “ultimate battle between the evil Shadaloo organization and the heroic World Warriors who rise up against them” unfolds. Players will take control of all of the fighters that will be available in Street Fighter V, including the 6 DLC characters (some of which are not yet released) as they play out a cinematic story.
Balrog and Ibuki will also be available for purchase during this time. Balrog new moves puts the focus on his powerful punches, and with the use of his V-Trigger, he will be able chain attacks together to deal some serious damage. Meanwhile Ibuki remains a very technical character, with the ability to glide through the air and toss out ninja bombs, making it very difficult to predict. All post-launch characters can be purchased using in-game earned Fight Money or real currency.
