While Street Fighter V is set to launch on February 16th 2016 on PC and PS4, things are going to feel very different come June, when a free update will add a cinematic story mode, which based by the trailer looks to follow a similar style what we’ve seen in the Mortal Kombat series.
While you may have to wait until June to get the big story mode, players will still be able to enjoy individual character driven stories that will give you more details about the characters and their relationships within the game. This mode will have its story told via illustrations from Capcom artist Bengus (aka “Gouda Cheese”). Playing through all the single-player content should also give you enough Fight Money to purchase your first DLC character according to Capcom, who should be launching sometime in March.
The Last Street Fighter V Beta test will also be held on January 30th-31st as a final preparation for the game’s launch two weeks later.
