If you’ve ever thought “Payday 2 is a lot of fun, but it would be more fun if we stole from people who really deserved it and have it set in a different time period.” Then say no more as Starbreeze and 505 Games revealed the release date for RAID: World War 2, a co-operative FPS where you can steal from the Nazis.
Developed by Lion Game Lion, a team known for contributing to the critically acclaimed Payday 2, and lead by Game Director Ilija Petrusic (Co-founder of OVERKILL Software and lead level designer of PAYDAY: The Heist and PAYDAY 2) RAID: World War 2 brings unique character classes, hero special abilities, customizable weapons and uniforms, and real-life war-torn locations as they sabotage, rob and assassinate through the Nazi regime.
“The goal in RAID: World War II is simple – sabotage, assassinate and pulverize everything bearing a swastika – mess with Hitler and steal his treasures,” said Ilija Petrusic. “With the Nazi regime as the ultimate evil, RAID brings together four unique characters with play-styles that complement and enhance each other as they fight and steal across Europe.”
RAID: World War 2 is out on September 26th on PC and will make the jump to PS4 and Xbox One on October 10th in North America (October 13 in Europe, Middle East and Asia). The game also stars Monty Python alum John Cleese as British intelligence officer “Control”.
