Just ahead of the upcoming sequel, Star Wars Battlefront’s Season pass is currently free on PSN, Xbox Live Store and PC via Origins. The season pass entitles you to all the DLC expansions which includes new maps, modes, and hero units.
EA has not announced an official promotion at the time of writing this article so it is unclear on when this deal will end, so we would recommend picking it up as fast as possible if you’re an owner of Battlefront. A similar deal occurred before the launch of Battlefield One, in which DLC packs for Battlefield 4 and Battlefield Hardline were released for free on a weekly basis.
Star Wars Battlefront II is set for a November 17th release and in a unusal move for DICE and EA, the sequel will not have a season pass. EA announced during E3 this year that they will release all of Battlefront II’s maps, modes and characters for free, taking more of a Titanfall 2 approach to releasing content.
Does the free release of the Season Pass make you want to jump back into Battlefront? Let us know in the comments.
