DICE and EA have finally pulled back the curtain on the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront game for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, giving us a tone of new information, a release date and an in engine video of of a pretty kick ass battle on Endor (Trailer above.)
So what do we know about the new Battlefront? First of which, the game is in first and third person view with players having the opportunity to decide which view point they want to use, and will be heavily focused on the 40 person Multiplayer mode. The game will feature offline missions based on famed battles in the Star Wars Universe, which can be played single-player, co-op online or split-screen, but the game will not feature a traditional Single Player Campaign.
Character creation will also be a major factor in the game, with players being able to choose a species, gender and class for their fighters. This includes members of the Republic and the Empire (yes female Stormtroopers are a thing, not sure about the other races though.) On top of this, DICE has mentioned a new Partner system, which will allow you to link up with another player to complete your objectives in a similar function of the Battlefield Squad, only to a much bigger extent.
Of course the big news is the release date. Star Wars Battlefront will be available for purchase on November 17th 2015. Are you excited for a new Battlefront? Let us know in the comments.
