Alan Tudyk, best known for his role in the short lived Joss Whedon sci-fi western Firefly as well as the upcoming Star Wars: Rogue One, was originally set to have a role in Naughty Dog’s upcoming adventure title, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
The information was release yesterday during an interview with IGN about Tudyk’s new online show, Con Man, which had a guest appearance from Nathan Drake voice actor Nolan North. “I quit!” he said in the interview when his involvement in the Uncharted game came up. “I left because [Naughty Dog] decided to go a different direction with it and so when they did that … it made my contract null and void.” Tudyk was also joined by Todd Stashwick, who similarly felt that the studio was “making some weird changes” after a turnover in leadership.
Uncharted 4 is currently set to release on March 18, 2016 exclusively on PS4. Meanwhile you can currently watch Tudyk’s Con Man, which stars Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion, Seth Green, Felicia Day, Sean Astin, Summer Glau, and Joss Whedon on Vimeo On Demand.
