Earlier this week Sony announced that they will be removing their paid Music Unlimited service in favour of Playstation Music, a partnership between Sony and Spotify. The service will be rolling out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and Sony’s Xperia smartphones and tablets sometime this spring, and will allow you to play Spotify’s free ad-supported music streaming or it’s ad-free premium service for $10.
So what does this mean for Music Unlimited Subscribers? Well, Music Unlimited will cease to exist on March 29th 2015, if you are a subscriber you will be given a free month of service from Feb 28th – March 29th.
If you already have a Spotify account, premium or not, you will be able to bring over your playlist to the new Playstation Music app as it will merge the two systems.
