Nintendo has already capitalized on our nostalgia with the Mini NES and SNES systems and it has worked out extremely well for them to the point that it is still impossible to find one. It makes sense that Sony would want a piece of that market as well by releasing the new Playstation Classic.
The Playstation Classic is 45% smaller than the original and will come with two controllers, an HDMI cable and a USB power cable. Sony has also stated it will come with 20 games pre-loaded, however only mentioned a small handful including Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer 4, Tekken 3, Final Fantasy VII and Wild Arms.
There won’t be much of a wait for the device either, as the mini-console will be available on December 3rd, 2018, which is a special date for Sony as it originally introduced on December 3rd 1994. It will also be priced at $99.99USD/$129.99CND.
We’ll hear more about the upcoming mini-console soon, including a full list of games that will be joining the system. Until we know whats coming, what are some of the games you want to see on the Playstation Classic? Let us know in the comments.
