Fans of the highly praised Musical Education Game Rocksmith will be happy to know that when Rocksmith 2014 Edition launches, it will provide support over the current DLC available for the game, which Ubisoft’s FAQ also listed a series of ‘on-disc’ music content from the original will also be able to be transferred. Rocksmith’s executive producer Nao Higo stated that most of the original songs will be supported by Rocksmith 2014, but licensing issues cause issues with getting them all.
“We’re still working out the licensing on a couple of stragglers,” said Higo. “We want to get to the point where we can say [all the original tracks will transfer], but we don’t want to lie to you, so right now we’re saying most of them.”
One of Rocksmith’s biggest modes shown off at E3 called ‘Sessions Mode’ which turns your console/computer into a virtual jam band that will listen to your chords and adapt to how you play. Interesting enough, the Sessions Mode is not just limited to Guitars and Bass, any electronic instrument can be plugged in on this mode to create a unique jam. While this wasn’t initially planned in the design of the game, Higo said they did test this using a Electric Violin.
Rocksmith 2014 launches this October on PC, Mac, Xbox 360 and PS3.
