The newest Skate game will be doing a first for the series and come to PC according to Electronic Arts on Thursday.
The franchise originally was console only with the first three games launching on Playstation 3 and Xbox 360 between 2007 and 2010. The games relied heavily on the gamepad as tricks and movement were all done with the analog sticks (in a similar fashion to SkaterXL) rather than the button-based gameplay seen in the Tony Hawk Pro Skater series.
While not much more news has come out about the next entry, Developers Full Circle – A team formed to handle the sequel after fan feedback social media clamor for series revival – have kept very quiet about the game, with only a few sprinkles of development details to ensure that the game is still being made. The latest of this being a PC-themed tweet.
In other words – we’ll know more about Skate when we know it. Until then, we will at least know that a PC version will be coming.
