Shin Megami Tensei coming to Switch, runs on Unreal 4

When Epic games stated that the Unreal 4 engine will work on the upcoming Nintendo Switch, we were expecting to see more games be prominently shown during last night’s live stream. What we didn’t expect was to see one of our favourite RPG series make the jump to the switch powered by Epic’s engine.

Atlus announced last night that a new Shin Megami Tensei would be coming to the Nintendo Switch powered by Unreal 4 with a short trailer showing off some of the more famous monsters from the series. No details on the story, gameplay, release date or even a full title was given in the trailer, however Atlus is currently nicknaming the game “Shin Megami Tensei Brand New Title.” With a title like this, it might be safe to assume at this time that this may be a new spin-off title like Digital Devil Saga, Devil Summoner, or Persona. Let get those theories going people!

Atlus confirmed that at this time there is no news on Localization on the title, however they will advise at a later time if the game will see a North American or European release.
