While Shadow of Mordor was amazing, the ruined land of Mordor was lacked some diversity. Middle-Earth in the Peter Jackson films is shown to be such a beautiful realm that being stuck in the darkest place in the world was a little depressing (although rightfully so.)
In the sequel, Middle-Earth: Shadow of War, Warner Bros. Games has promised that we’ll see more of Middle-Earth and provided a look trailer at the game’s open world aspect, giving us a first glimpse at Island of Nurn, Cirith Ungol, Gorgoroth and more. The trailer also shows some of the intense battles that will be happening in those locations, be a stealth infiltration or a raging battle with your own Orc Army backing you up.
While the locations look gorgeous this time around, we’re sure they’ll end up taking back-seat to the series famed Nemesis system which will have the entire world remember your story, allowing for each game to feel different. We’ll have to wait to see how these new changes to the system will actually play out when the game is released on August 22nd 2017.
