It’s another year down for the Geoff Keighley produced Game Awards. This year we saw plenty of cool announcements (more on those later) and a lot of deserving games get the spotlight and awards which included the covenant Game of the Year award.
The two big winners this year was Hideo Kojima’s Death Stranding, which walked away with Best Performance for Mads Mikkelsen as Cliff, Best Game Direction and best score/music, and Disco Elysium – which walked away with Best Narrative, Best RPG, Best Indie Game, and Fresh Indie Game. However, it was the Action/Adventure game of the year that walked away with the big prize as From Software’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice beat out Death Stranding, Control, Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Resident Evil 2 remake and The Outer Worlds to win Game of the Year.
