Sega has announced that the a brand new Hatsune Miku game is in the works titled Hastune Miku: Project Diva X coming to Vita and PS4 next year. The game is currently only set for a Japanese release, with the Vita version coming in March and the PS4 version in Fall of 2016.
While there are little details about the upcoming rhythm game, Sega did mention that the game will feature a new quest mode which will be activated from the “Diva Room” and will allow you to take on specific quests for your Divas. Another new addition is the Rush notes, which allows will have players tap the corresponding note as fast as they can to rack up more points.
Costumes, or Modules, are traditionally earned after clearing the song however this time around there is a new “Module drop” feature which is activated by completing quests or completing “Chance Time” moments. Finally, Famitsu confirmed that there will be new songs, modules and characters being added to the game.
There is no word on when the game will reach North America, but considering the titles have done well, we might be hearing more from Sega about the project soon.
