One of the first episodic games released by Telltale games, Sam & Max Save the World, is now out on Xbox One, as revealed on Microsoft’s ID@Xbox Twitch showcase.
Originally released as a six-episode season on PC between October 2006 and April 2007, and later released on Xbox 360 and the Nintendo Wii, Sam & Max Saves the World was the return of Steve Purcell’s Police Dog and insane rabbit-thing as they deal with what appears to be open and shut cases involving former child stars, the internet, and hypnotism that leads to a bigger conspiracy.
Developed by a small group of the game’s original team who acquired the rights when Telltale closed its doors in 2018, the remastered version of Sam & Max Saves the World features a higher resolution, improved audio, new music tracks, and a number of other enhancements.
The remastered version was originally released on the Nintendo Switch and PC in December and is priced at $19.99 USD.
