We kind of seen it coming, as recent trends make most developers use a online pass to access multiplayer sections of their game (Thanks EA.) It seems the latest game to incorporate this is Saints Row: The Third, blocking off the Co-operative Multiplayer section for use with the online pass. This also includes the “Whore Mode” which is similar to the popular “Horde Mode” Made famous in Gears of War.
So that was the bad news, the good news however is that THQ is also using the Season Pass system that Rockstar started with L.A.Noire. Opening up 4 DLC packs throughout the year starting from January 2011 to “Spring 2011.” the pass will include “Genkibowl VII,” “Gangstas In Space,” and “The Trouble With Clones” – and the Nyte Blayde DLC pack, which comes with a sweet “vampire-hunting sports car.” Sadly there is no disclosed price as of yet, be here’s hoping that they fallow suit with Mortal Kombat and L.A.Noire rather than Gears 3 and Forza 4
