I’m going to put this as plainly as I can, I am going to HATE August. With an already huge list of what we hope to be great games showing up that month including Dragon’s Crown, and Killer is Dead, we also get (in the same day no less) The Bureau: XCOM Declassified, Splinter Cell Blacklist and Saints Row IV. It’s official, the game industry wants us to be broke.
With so many games coming out at the same time, we’re looking to E3 this year to help us decide which ones we want. Volition and Deep Silver have started their campaign early for Saints Row IV with a new trailer showing off more weapons, Characters, new superpowers, and familiar faces. Setting the Third Street Saints as the leaders of the free world and trapped in an Alien invasion, players will be able to use new Sci-fi weapons and superpowers to fight the Aliens back.
Of course that’s not all they announced, with two Collectors editions on it’s way as well. You can choose from a standard edition with pre-orders getting the Commander-and-Chief edition which nets you 3 pieces of DLC including the ‘Merica weapon, Uncle Sam costume, and the Screaming Eagle Jet. The big edition called “The Super Dangerous Wub Wub” Edition comes with a 12-inch Dubstep gun replica, featuring laser sight and music from the game, as well as a 8-inch Johnny Gat Memorial Statue, Dubstep Doomsday Button and the DLC in the Commander-and-Chief edition.
The “Super Dangerous Wub Wub” Edition will be priced at $99.99 and available while supplies last. For those who haven’t played Saints Row: The Third yet and have Playstation Plus, then you’re in luck as Sony announced that the third entry of the over-the-top action game will be available at the end of the month. You can check out the super-serious trailer after the jump.
