If there is one series that almost requires a fighting game to be made, it’s Rooster Teeth Productions RWBY. On top of interesting characters and bad-ass weapons, it has a premise that screams Fighting Game. Luckily for us, if rumours are true, we might be getting one.
RTX 2017 wrapped this weekend and according to AfterBuzz TV, during the RWBY Panel it was announced that a RWBY fighting game will be making its first apperance at EVO.

Fans have already started speculating who will be developing the game with signs pointing towards Arc System Works thanks to an interview with Toshimichi Mori had expressed interest in the series.
“If I were to make a game based on something that wasn’t a complete original, which is what I have done in the past, it would be based on the intellectual property of RWBY,” the producer behind BlazBlue said. “So each girl has their own kind of color, theme that they are associated with and the original creator has sadly passed away. If we were to ever make a fighting game of this, I would want to really spearhead that if possible.”
At this time nothing is official, however we won’t have to wait long as EVO is just around the corner (this weekend). Until then we’re just going to wish that this everything in the article is true because we want to play the crap out of this!
