At E3, EA and DICE announced that they’d be bringing the Clone Wars to Star Wars: Battlefront 2, and with it two more heroes including General Grievous and Obi-Wan Kenobi. However it sounds like two more major clone wars heroes will be coming to the game in the near future.
General Grievous was added to Battlefront 2 on October 30th, and in certains lines of dialog mentions both Ahsoka Tano and Padme Amidala. This seems to imply that DICE is planning to have the Separatist leader interact with the heroines in the future.
EA has confirmed that DICE has more content planned byond the post-launch DLC Roadmap for Battlefront 2 – which is scheduled to end in December 2018, as EA CEO Andrew Wilson stated that Battlefront 2 would continue to see more content throughout the “next year” during a quarterly earnings call.
The two characters are major fan favourites for the Light Side, however one of the rules in creating new Hero Characters according to a blog post from EA is that every “hero must counter a villain, and vice versa.” Which is why both General Grievous and Count Dooku are being added along with Obi-Wan and Anakin Skywalker.
This is however all speculation at the moment and nothing has been confirmed by EA at this time. We’ll keep you posted on the major updates including any new heroes and villains coming to Battlefront 2.
