Rockstar’s GTA 5 has racked up a significant amount of money for their parent company, Take Two, who announced during their latest financial call that Grand Theft Auto 5 has shipped over 33 Million Units. While that is great an all, how much money on of the best games of last year made isn’t what caught our attention, but rather a tease for an upcoming project from Rockstar.
CEO Strauss Zelnick was quoted saying “We’re excited about what [Rockstar] have in store for the new generation of systems this fiscal year.” Along with E3 being around the corner this sparked rumours of Rockstar giving Grand Theft Auto 5 facelift for PS4 and Xbox One. Unfortunately Zelnick did not give any further information regarding this on the hour long conference call.
Take Two’s Fiscal Year ends in March 2015, hopefully we’ll be hearing more about Rockstar’s next game, whether it’s a port of GTA 5 or a new game altogether, at E3 next month.
