Harmonix and game peripheral company Mad Catz have a special deal going on for the upcoming Rock Band 4, as both companies have reached an agreement to extend the partnership deal they formed for Rock Band 3, allowing Mad Catz to co-publish the game.
As part of this agreement, Mad Catz will be responsible for worldwide retail sales, promotion, and distribution for Rock Band 4 the game and its hardware bundles. On the other side, Harmonix will see to the digital sales and content, such as DLC tracks.
“We’re excited to extend our agreement with Harmonix, and are confident that Mad Catz’ global sales force, distribution channels, and retail marketing expertise will deliver the retail success we believe Rock Band 4 will achieve in 2015 and beyond,” Mad Catz president and chief executive officer Darren Richardson said. Mad Catz is currently creating new Guitars, Bass and Drum Kits for the upcoming music game, and the game will be shown at E3 later this year.
