Criterion is taking us back to the Paradise City where the grass is green and the girls are pretty. EA has confirmed that the road-rage simulator, Burnout Paradise, is getting the remastered treatment for PS4 and Xbox One, and will release on March 16th 2018.
Burnout Paradise Remastered will feature the base game with the 8 add-on packs which included legendary cars, police vehicles, and bikes, as well as an additional island attachment called Big Surf Island, with the only thing missing being the Time Saver Pack which unlocks all vehicles in the game. The Remastered edition also features a range of enhancements including higher resolution textures, and the support to explore Paradise City in 4K at 60FPS on the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X.
“When people think of Criterion Games, they often remember the Burnout franchise and for good reason. What we created 10 years ago, we feel is still fun and unique to this day in the gaming industry,” said Matt Webster, General Manager at Criterion Games. “Burnout Paradise is an arcade racer built to provide players the thrill of racing with their friends, in a free form way that was both seamless and immersive, but also a little crazy with all the different stunts and crashes players could pull off. With the release of this remaster, we’re able to share this action-packed ride with a whole new generation of players.”
Burnout Paradise Remastered will be priced at $51.99 CDN and available digitally and in stores for consoles, and will be out later this year on PC – bringing the Big Surf Island DLC to PC for the first time. Those with an EA Access account will be able to play the game early, starting on March 9th, thanks to the Early Play trial.
