The third CGI Resident Evil film is only going to be in select theatres for one day, June 19th 2017 to be precise. Don’t worry if you’re not able to see the film on that day as Sony Pictures has announced that you’ll only have to wait a day before the film will hit Digital Distributors the next day, June 20th 2017.
Resident Evil Vendetta serves as the third film in a CGI trilogy-spin off of the popular Survival Horror games, following Degeneration and Damnation. Vendetta bridges the events from Resident Evil 6 and 7 and focuses on Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy and making her return from the first Resident Evil Game, Rebecca Chambers, as they attempt to stop a madman and his neo-Umbrella corp goons from releasing a new virus on New York.
Sony Pictures released a small clip of the film in which Leon and Chris take on a horde of Zombies and it looks like Leon got a few lessons from John Wick with some kick ass moves.
They also announced that the DVD, Blu-Ray and 4K Blu-Ray will be available July 18th and will feature some cool behind the scenes and featurettes for fans of the games and film buffs a like. You can check out what each edition has below:
