Despite getting a release date at E3, Capcom announced that the multiplayer component of Resident Evil Village – Resident Evil Re:Verse, will be delayed into 2022.
“The previously announced July 2021 launch of Resident Evil Re:Verse is being moved to 2022 so that the team can continue working to deliver a smooth gameplay experience,” Capcom said in a tweet. “Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Resident Evil Re:Verse is a multiplayer Hero Shooter allowing players to take control of a variety of Resident Evil Heroes including Jill Valentine, Claire Redfield, and Leon S. Kennedy – and allows them to transform into classic villains upon death including Nemesis and Resident Evil 7’s Jack Baker.
Capcom has held mutliple beta tests for Re:Verse but found different technical flaws each time which has delayed the production of the game.
Capcom has advised those who purchased physical copies of Resident Evil Village to add their download codes to their accounts so that the game will be available to them once it is ready in 2022.
