Back in 2012, the Resident Evil franchise was split into two with a heavy action oriented game (Resident Evil 6) and a Resident Evil 4 style survival game for the 3DS called Resident Evil Revelations. Revelations went on to receive a large amount of praise for being a tense survival game and the next year was ported to PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.
Now, like almost every Resident Evil game before it, Resident Evil Revelations will be coming to the PS4 and Xbox One later this year. Capcom has not stated a date, price, or what kind of upgrades we’ll be seeing when the game launches, however it is assumed that it will have 4K and HDR support for PlayStation 4 Pro and Project Scorpio.
Resident Evil Revelations takes place between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, focusing on fan favourites Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield they solve the mysteries of the T-Abyss Virus and fight a terrorist cell looking to spread the virus.
We’ll have more on this story as Capcom releases more information.
