As Capcom had promised earlier in the year, the next game in the Resident Evil Remastered pipeline will be Resident Evil 5, and is currently set to release later this month on June 28th for Xbox One and PS4.
Like its predecessor, Resident Evil 6; RE5 will see the 2009 game running at 60FPS at 1080p and include all available DLC with it, including the two expansion episodes “Lost in Nightmares” and “Desperate Escape,” the Mercenaries United and Versus Modes in multiplayer, as well as all the costume packs.
While Resident Evil 5 was personally my least favourite game in the series (coming from someone who played Dead Aim) the thought of being able to play RE5 with friends online again does get me excited to play the game again. We’ll have to wait until fall to get Resident Evil 4, and rumours that a new Resident Evil title might be announced at E3 also has us excited to see what might be in store for the series.
