Yesterday, Rockstar’s Red Dead Redemption (finally) was announced to be available on Xbox One via Backwards Compatibility this Friday (July 8th). The highly praised Open-World Western game was one of the highest requested games for the Backwards Compatibility program since its announcement back at E3 2015.
Now this is where the story gets really interesting as Amazon has mentioned that here has been a massive increase of sales for the six year old game and had become the Number 26 spot in the Video game category. The reason why this is so impressive? It was last holding the No. 1,544 spot.
Red Dead Redemption: Game of the Year edition saw a 5,838 percent gain within the day, while the regular edition went up to 1,154 percent, carrying it from 690th on the chart to No. 55.
Those with physical copies of the game will be able to play it for free, and if you’re looking to purchase it, you can use the Amazon links above to or wait till Friday when the game will become available digitally.
