While we enjoyed ReCore for what it was, the game left us with a bad taste in our mouth thanks to a cliffhanger ending and a few features that just appeared to be missing. The ReCore: Definitive Edition seems like it will fix that by giving us some new enhanced visuals and a host of extra features including a new Corebot Companion and chapter in the story.
The new chapter is called Ey of Obsidian and in it, players head into the permanent midnight of the Starving Sea, which was a previously unexplored region of Far Eden. Once you’re there you’ll come face to face with some ancient enemies as they “plot their revenge on the last remnants of humankind.”
Players will also get a new Corbot called T8-NK – otherwise known as Tank. You’ll also get to explore new areas including two new overworlds and 10 new dungeons. There is also new audio, bosses, Tank Challenges, and the level cap is now increased to 40 (originally set to 30).
