For those craving a new tactical shooter, then I recommend turning your attention to Void Interactive’s lastest gameplay footage for “Ready or Not”, a new tactical shooter that looks like the spiritual successor to the SWAT series.
Billed as a “realistic tactical shooter” that’s “set against the backdrop of political and economic instability in the United States.” Players are placed in the boots of a Special Weapons And Tactics operative “tasked with defusing tense, hostile situations in a morally bankrupt city.”
The game offers a variety of modes including Co-operative and competitive multiplayer, as well as a single-player campaign which will allow you to take control of your AI team-mates with either on-screen prompts, or via voice using the game’s “finely tuned speech recognition system.”
There isn’t a release date for Read or Not yet, but the game is predicted to launch in late 2020. Players can pre-order the game via Void Interactive’s website, and is available in two versions – a standard edition and Supporter edition. Both versions will get you into the beta of the game in June 202, but the Supporter Edition will give you access to the Alpha build in August of this year, plus a FBI HRT pack and 25% discount on the game’s first expansion.
I’m a huge fan of the SWAT series so I’m extremely excited for this. Hopefully we’ll get to see more from Void Interactive on the upcoming tactical shooter soon.
