Rainbow Six Siege has been going strong for 4 years and that has been thanks to the various events, new operators, updates and just how much fun the tactical shooter is. This weekend will be a big one for game as it will be free for a limited time and have a cool in-game event to tie-in with one of Netflix’s best original series, Money Heist (or La Casa De Papel in some regions).
For those unfamiliar with the crime drama, Money Heist is a Spanish series about a team of crooks in a long-prepared, multiday assault that have them fighting hostages and police while attempting to escape with the money. The Rainbow Six event will give a similar experience as players will be able to down the red suit and mask from the series as either Vigil and Hibana during rounds of Hostage in the Bank map. Eight items will be added to the game in total between uniforms, headgear, weapon skins and charms.
The event will be running from now until November 25th and will be free on PC, PS4, and Xbox One between November 21st – 25th to allow fans of the Netflix series to try out the game. Like other times when Ubisoft demos the game for free – the game will also get a discount, with Ubisoft promising up to 66% off.
Ubisoft has continued to plan support for Rainbow Six Siege with new operators incoming, plus a new bullet penetration system, and eventually receiving cross-play support. Ubisoft has also stated plans for bringing the game to Next-Gen Consoles thanks to the series popularity.
