After being delayed by the studio due to similarities to the Manchester attack, The Farm 51 is finally releasing their Psychological Horror Shooter, Get Even, tomorrow for PS4 and Xbox One, however the developers have released the game a little bit earlier on PC via Steam. To celebrate they released a new trailer which if the game is half a chilling as, we’d definitely have a contender for Horror Game of the Year in a year full of amazing Survival Horror titles.
Get Even places you in the role of an amnesiac Mercenary who awakes in a decrepit house and using technology to dive into his own mind to relive his memories as he attempts to explore the truth behind the only thing he can remember: the rescue attempt of a teenage girl with a bomb strapped to her chest. The latest trailer sets the tone for the game asking you to determine what is actually real and what if your memories are betraying you.
2017 has been sort of a revival year for horror titles, with games like Resident Evil 7, Outlast 2 and The Evil Within 2 highlighting a strong resurgence in the genre. It will be interesting to see if Get Even, which at this point is acting as an indie title being produced by Bandai Namco, can deliver on the chills and thrills that the trailer promises.
