Surprisingly jumping the E3 gun, Supermassive Games announced that their Sony produced PS4 exclusive Horror title “Until Dawn” will be available on August 25th 2015.
Until Dawn is a interactive survival horror title, which follows 8 friends who go to a cabin in the mountains for a fun trip, only to enrage the resident psychopath who now wants to kill them. Borrowing from Slasher Horror Films and games like Heavy Rain and Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy), the game was originally designed for the PS3 with Move functionality before shifting to the PS4.
Another selling point of Until Dawn is the star power behind it, with names like Hayden Panettiere and Rami Malek leading the cast. Supermassive Games also announced that Peter Stormare (Fargo, The Big Lebowski) will also be joining the cast.
“He gave some incredibly powerful performances in the motion capture studio and you can tell from the end result in the game that he had some fun with the character,” Supermassive producer Pete Samuels said in a post on the PlayStation Blog.
Finally a new trailer has been released showing off the game’s impressive visuals and some of the action you can expect from it.
