Bandai Namco announced yesterday that the upcoming racing simulator, Project Cars, will be delayed until March 17th in North America and March 20th in Europe and Australasian regions for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Previously scheduled for November 18th, the delay “positions the title away from the competitive holiday scene dominated by household names while affording the team at Slightly Mad Studios additional time to extend and polish” according to Bandai Namco. Slightly Mad Studios, who previously worked on Need for Speed: Shift and it’s sequel, had also listed a Wii U version of the game in the works, set for a 2015 release as well.
This is probably a smart move by the publisher, as you may know, November 18th is a monster of a day featuring several high profile games that could possibly over shadow Project Cars despite looking like a solid racing game that several of us at the office are looking forward to.
