From Software retracted their original statement stating that there would be no planned DLC for Dark Souls 2 shortly after the the game was released, mentioning that the game will see DLC if there was enough fan outcry for it. Assuming that the fan outcry was the cries of 501,337,473 Undead avatar dying across 3 platforms, then you can prepare to die… Again.
Dark Souls 2 will receive 3 DLC chapters titled ‘The Lost Crowns.” These chapters focus “on a journey to reclaim the crowns that Drangleic’s King Vendrick once owned.” The first of which is The “Crown of the Sunken King,” which will launch on July 22nd and will take place in a different universe then Dark Souls 2, featuring “pyramids span a vast underground cavern.”
2 more chapter will follow, “Crown of the Old Iron King” on August 26 and “Crown of the Ivory King” on September 24. Each DLC will cost $10 separately, or can be purchased in a bundle for $25.
