Powers coming to PSN in March.

Back at E3 of last year, if you asked us about the upcoming Playstation Exclusive TV show Powers, the only thing we would reply with is “The Worst part of Sony’s Presentation.” Now with more information about the show and an intriguing trailer from last years NYCC has moved us to a level of “cautious excitement.”

The show will be airing exclusive on the Playstation Network on March 10th, during that time, anybody with an active PSN account will be able to access the first episode for free. Meanwhile if you have Playstation Plus, you’ll be able to watch the entire series for free.

Powers is based on the on-going comic of the same name from writer Brian Michael Bendis (Ultimate Spider-Man) and artist Michael Avon Oeming (Judge Dredd) that follows two homicide detectives investigate cases involving citizens with superhuman abilities. Starring District 9 standout Sharlto Copley as Christian Walker, a former hero who becomes a detective after losing his powers, his partner Deena Pilgrim, played byThe Following‘s Susan Heyward, and Eddie Izzard portrays the villainous/crazy Wolfe.
