Sony has announced a new “attractive” price for the Playstation VR starting today, taking Sony’s VR Headset and Camera bundle to $299USD, down from $399USD.
Unlike most of Sony’s ill-fated peripheral ideas (PSMove and storybook just to name a few), the Playstation VR system has followed the VR trend that has been popular on PC, and has delivered several big titles including 2 Until Dawn Spin-offs (Rush of Blood and The Inpatient), Resident Evil 7, Rez Infinite, and plenty planned for future release including Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality, WipEout Omega Collection and more.
For North America, Sony has confirmed two bundles for the PSVR systems. The Playstation Blog describes and gives pricing of both as follows:
Playstation VR DOOM VFR Bundle
$299.99 USD/379.99 CAD (MSRP)
Originally $399.99 USD/499.99 CAD (MSRP)

Originally $449.99 USD/579.99 CAD (MSRP)

If you’re thinking of jumping into VR on PS4, this seems like the perfect time. Let’s not forget Ace Combat 7 is still in the works and plans to be VR Compatible, and on the otherside of the spectrum you’ll also get to hang out with your favourite video game goddess waifu in Megadimension Neptunia VIIR.
