We’re not done with the Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad (SEES) or the Phantom Thieves just yet as Atlus has announced that two Rhythm games for PS4 and PSVita in the Americas and Europe in early 2019 under the titles of Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight and Persona 5: Dancing in Starlight.
Both games will feature a similar setup, our favourite characters from Persona 3 and 5 have been invited (forced?) to a new club called Club Velvet, where they will participating in a Magical Dance Party with the residents of the Velvet Room. While it doesn’t seem to have the same story impact as the PSVita title Persona 4: Dancing All Night, it’s likely we’re going to be treated to something special for the game.
Each game will feature 25 fan favourite songs from their respective series, from the original release don by Shoji Meguro and composed by Ryota Kozuka, to new remixes by ATOLS, Lotus Juice, ☆Taku Takahashi (m-flo / block.fm), Jazztronik, and more. The game will also feature a variety of costumes and accessories for each character, a variety of difficulty settings and a new Social section where players can deepen their social bonds through conversations and mini-events, fulfilling character-specific conditions to unlock special events and items.
If the two spin-offs are anything like the PSVita Gem, Persona 4 Dancing All Night, then I’m sure Persona fans are going to enjoy the spin-off for the other two popular titles in the series. No release date aside from an Early 2019 window has been set, but we’ll keep you posted on any Persona related news.
