Fans of the Penny Arcade RPG will be happy to hear that “On a Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness” will be back for a third entry.
The game, which had left us off at a cliffhanger in episode 2, was plagued with multiple production problems. At the first PAX East after disappointing sales of Episode 2, Penny Arcade claimed the project was canceled altogether, stating that at Hothead games left the project to pursue development on DeathSpank, splitting the team would have impacted the quality of Episode 3. The blame game keep going, as Hothead later claimed that Jerry “Tycho” Holkins had trouble keeping up with the development cycle.
Now, two years later, Episode 3 is back in development handled by Zeboyd Games, creators of the Xbox Indie titles: Cthulhu Saves the world and Breath of Death VII. The game will be available for PC, Mac, iOS, and Xbox Indie Arcade.
