I feel like I could be forgiven to think that the Action Comedy Anime – One Punch Man – would never see a video game adaptation for a few facts. The character is so joking over powered with lighting speed, high endurance, and of course, the ability to end a fight with a single punch.
However Bandai Namco is proving me wrong by releasing a 3 on 3 fighting game based on the series called One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows. The game is being developed by Spike Chunsoft who brought us One Piece: Burning Blood and Jump Force, and visually remains very true to the anime series.
The trailer showed off some one on one gameplay featuring Saitama (aka One Punch Man), his cyborg apprentice Genos, and several other characters including Speed-o’-Sound Sonic and Mumen Rider in action. While the trailer showed plenty of movement and spectacular moves, it didn’t show how the game would be balanced – which is going to be the biggest concern if the game is following true to the series.
One Punch Man: A Hero Nobody Knows is coming soon to PS4, PC and Xbox One.
