NIS America announced the latest game the team behind the Disgaea franchise called The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince, will be coming to the West next year.
Originally released in Japan in May, the Liar Princess and the Blind Prince tells a fairy tale story of a wolf who howls a longely song that attracks a prince. When the prince stumbles upon the wolf, she gets scared and scratches his eyes out. To make up for the mistake, she casts a spell that lets her be a princess and guides the Prince on a journey to return his sight.
Players control the Wolf, who can transform between a powerful beast and a witty princess. In wolf form, she’ll be able to defend the prince and pull off feats of strength, while as a princess, she’ll be able to avoid traps and handle puzzles. The Prince on the other hand will be defenseless and only move when holding the princess’ hand.
NIS America plans to launch The Liar Princess and the Blind Prince for PS4 and the Nintendo Switch in 2019. A special Storybook Edition of the game is already available for Pre-Order on both consoles at the NIS America Online Store which features a physical copy of the game, a collectors box, the game’s soundtrack and an artbook.
