It is a sad day for print media as Nintendo announced that they will not renew their agreement with Future Publishing and has no intention’s to take over the publishing of it’s Nintendo Power Magazine.
The famous magazine was started in 1988 and was published in house by Nintendo, in 2007 Nintendo used the service of Future Publishing. “Nintendo can confirm that Future US will end the production of Nintendo Power magazine with the last issue slated for December 2012,” a Nintendo rep for announced to CVG.
Future Publishing stated that Nintendo was “difficult to work with” and did little to help Future transition the magazine into the online era. Future Publishing has begun to transfer it’s Nintendo Power employee’s to other publications.
