The cheaper alternative to the 3DS is getting even cheaper, dropping to an MSRP of 79.99$ and the bundles are still including Mario Kart 7.
This price cut will take effect on May 20th, just in time for the new Kirby title, Kirby: Planet Robobot, and is a great way to start playing the large 3DS and DS library of games, including Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D which was just re-released at a 19.99$ MSRP.
The only notable differences between the 2DS and the various 3DS models are as follow:
– The 2DS screens are the size of the regular 3DS, which some consider small.
– The 2DS does not fold like the 3D counterparts.
– 3D effects are not available, thus the 2DS name.
– Xenoblade Chronicles and the Super Nintendo Virtual Console titles are not playable as those are N3DS exclusive.
