The spiritual successor to the Clock Tower series, NightCry, is coming to Playstation Vita on January 31st 2019 in North America according to publisher PLAYISM.
Developed through a collaboration between Hifumi Kono, the creator of the Clock Tower series, and Grudge series director Takashi Shimizu, NightCry places players on a luxurious cruise liner where a series of gruesome murders happen. Witht he passengers growing paranoid and starting to distrust each other, players must attempt to escape the boat and defend themselves against a bloodthirsty killer known as “Scissorwalker.”
NightCry will be different from its PC counterpart by changing the point-and-click controls which were used in the Clock Tower series, to a more console friendly controls using the Analog stick to move, select items, and options. This will help Vita owners as they attempt to solve puzzles and navigate the ship while under constant threat of the Scissorwalker appearing.
NightCry also features three playable characters, multiple branching paths and endings. Vita owners can pick up this horror title for $24.99 USD. Check out the trailer above.
