Sony and publisher Screaming Villains announced that the Sega CD “Classic” Night Trap will be coming to PS4 digitally and with a limited-run physical release in honour of the game’s 25th anniversary.
Night Trap for those who need to brush up on your gaming history was a FMV (Full-Motion Video) Game which had you attempt to protect some innocent girls at a slumber party as they get attacked by Vampires-esqe intruders by activating traps around the house. At the time the game was considered Mature due scenes of the said girls dancing around in their underwear, and was made one of the go-to examples of “Video Games going to far” along with Doom and Mortal Kombat, helping in the creation of the ESRB.
At this time we currently just have a vague “Spring 2017” release date for the remake and a trailer which does show some major improvements in video quality, and even more interestingly – a T for Teen rating from the ESRB.
