The first Tony Hawk game since the skater’s contract with Activision expired is coming every soon, but you if you were hoping for something along the lines of the Pro-Skater series, you might be disappointed.
Tony Hawk’s Skate Jam has been listed on the Google Play and Apple App Store as a free to play mobile title coming December 13 to Android and iOS devices. The listing states that Skate Jam will include a “classic career mode,” as well as “global skate jam tournaments.”
The game is being developed by Maple Media, who worked on previously released mobile skateboarding games – Skateboard Party and Skateboard Party 2. The iOS listing also states that the game will be 1.4GB and will feature Micro-transactions, which is listed as Coin Packs, it is not listed on what the coins will do at this moment.
The Tony Hawk Skater games includes 16 mainline games that were published by Activision between 1999 and 2015, seeing a release on virtually every console available in that time. In February, Tony announced that he was no longer working with Activision and was working on a game with another company.
