It seems like the World of Darkness is making a big media push recently, as the brand has not only announced a sequel to the cult favourite Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines, but we also have a Werewolf: The Apocalypse adaptation on its way from Call of Cthulhu developers Cyanide Studios. Publisher BigBen Interactive has also recently announced that they will be releasing another Vampire title on its way in the near future.
While the upcoming title does not have a name yet, it’s said that it will be a “narrative RPG” inspired by the rules of the Tabletop game, and will be developed by Big Bad Wolf – the developers of another Narrative game, The Council. The Council is an episodic adventure full of occult plots, conspiracies, secret organisations and murder, so it sounds like Big Bad Wolf pretty much has the stuff to make a Vampire: The Masquerade title.
Much of the game is being kept secret at this time, however Big Bad Wolf aims to “define” the narrative RPG genre. We can expect to hear more about the game during Gamescom in August.
